An essential finishing tool in the art of knife sharpening. Remember the old leather strop that barbers used to hone their straight razors to shaving sharpness? This is the same principle--a wooden board with double-sided leather surfaces for stropping your knives after sharpening. Stropping removes the tiny burr created by sharpening, to give your knife's edge a finishing polish and make it shaving sharp!
The rough side can be improved in performance by applying a liquid or wax-based buffing or polishing compound (not included).
